Aroma without water:
Toasted malt notes, with a touch of sweet Sherry and some hints of vanilla lingering. Reminiscent of summer fruits and stewed plums.
Taste without water:
Creamy, with a delicate hint of black pepper. Some hints of Kiwi fruit and a defined burst of Sherry sweetness emerges.
Aroma with water:
Much fresher with haylike notes. More defined toasted malt with a touch of charred oak evolving.
Taste with water:
Burst of pepper warmth initially, with a sweet Sherry and creamy edge. Some vanilla fudge influences develop and hints of dark chocolate come to the fore.


Range: In the mid-1960s Gordon & MacPhail took the unprecedented step of launching a range of single malts under the brand name 'Connoisseurs Choice'. Until this time, many of the whiskies the range featured would not have been available as single malt. Today, Connoisseurs Choice retains this exclusive nature with a range of rare and sought after single malts from distilleries throughout Scotland. Glendullan Distillery was founded in 1897, and was the last built of the original seven distilleries of Dufftown.
